Hiring Process
Once application materials are received, candidates can expect an automatic email confirming receipt and explaining the selection process. We strive to provide an update to all applicants within two to three weeks after the 14-day application window closes.
All interviews for positions within the Massachusetts State Treasury will be panel interviews with members of the HR team and the hiring team. The panel will assess your qualifications, knowledge, and skills, while getting to know you.
Final candidates will be asked to provide at least three references.
A final candidate will receive a tentative offer of employment, including a verbal offer from a member of the HR team and an official offer letter. This is not a guarantee of employment
Upon acceptance of the tentative offer, the candidate must complete a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) authorization form. When applicable, we may request a history of the candidate’s driving records as well. The offer of employment is contingent upon this step of the hiring process.
After determining a start date, new employees attend an orientation and join our community of diverse and public service minded individuals.
